Even this year the harvest was completed on the rolling hills of Valtènesi and, despite the meteorological trend characterized by spring frosts and intense dry summer heat, the quality of the grapes proved to be excellent.
For the Franzosi family, the harvest is one of the most important moments of the year, but also one of the most exciting, characterized by the manual harvesting of grapes in respect of ancient traditions, which is joined by the constant search for new agricultural techniques to improve the quality of wine and winemaking processes.
The first fermentations provide a high organoleptic quality, with intense and persistent fruity and floral aromas, characteristic of some typical wines of Lake Garda and Valtènesi, among which Benaco Bresciano Rebo, Valtènesi Chiaretto, Groppello and Lugana Dop.
The structure of the 2021 wines vintage will be guaranteed by the high natural gradations of the grapes, although with significant reductions in yields.
After all, the Franzosi Winery has always focused on the quality of the products rather than on the quantity, carefully selecting the best and healthiest grapes to bring to complete and optimal ripeness.
